How To Make Your Own Headphone Stand

Materials needed: Old wire coat hanger, pliers, scrap yarn.
Steps:
Use pliers to cut off the hanger's hook and straighten the remaining wire.
Bend the middle section of the wire into a triangle shape (pointing the opposite way), then bend the two sides of the triangle upward at right angles.
Adjust the shape to form a "Y" structure and wrap scrap yarn around the area where the headphones will rest to prevent slipping.
Finally, bend the top into a groove to cradle the headphone headband; place it directly on your desk to use.

Advanced Solid Wood Version (Suitable for hobbyists with basic woodworking tools)
Tools and materials needed: Black walnut offcuts (20–30mm thick), walnut dowel (15mm diameter), bench vise, saw, file, sandpaper, hardwax oil, wood glue.
Steps:
Cut out a 10cm x 10cm base and a top support piece (5cm wide); use a scroll saw or coping saw to shape the basic outlines.
Mark the curve on the top support to match your headphones, then use a file to shape a symmetrical groove for the headband to rest in.
Drill a 15mm diameter hole in the center of the base; the fit should be tight enough that the dowel requires force to be twisted in.
Sand all components until smooth, apply hardwax oil, and let dry.
Apply wood glue inside the base hole, insert the dowel (upright) and the top support, align them vertically using a square, and let the assembly cure for 24 hours.
